Having worked since I was 12 years old, I understand the definition of “hard-earned money.” My quest for top-notch customer service started while delivering newspapers on my bike after school and on early weekend mornings. The papers were always in my customers’ mailboxes when they got home from work and on their doorsteps to save them from those cold morning walks. Throwing the paper at the bottom of the driveway was never an option on my route. During my teen years my work ethic continued as I held several jobs, from pizza delivery to stocking shelves at the local market.
After graduating high school, I went on to serve my country, spending the next five years of my life in the U.S. Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer. My time carrying Old Glory taught me discipline, teamwork and commitment—three attributes I live by today. While serving in Hawaii, I earned my degree from Chaminade University. My life changed forever when, on a six-month deployment in Australia, I met my soul mate, Vera. I could never imagine spending six months without her so it was time to leave the Navy and start my career as a Financial Planner.
These last 20 years of hard work have brought many rewards. My family has grown; Vera and I have three children: Matthew, Marcus and Addison. I have earned the designations of Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC), and Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP). In 2014, REP Magazine named me one of the Top 40 Independent Financial Advisors in the country under the age of 40.
My education and experiences are put to use every day as I guide my clients throughout their lives, encouraging the same discipline I learned in the military while providing the same level of service as I did on that old bike.
